Your situation
Make your first Venezuela hires the foundation for growth.
Market entry is a hiring sequence before it is anything else. The first two or three people determine how quickly the rest of the operation can be built — and whether head office keeps backing it.
Decide who comes first, and why
Most entries start with one of three profiles, and the right one depends on what you are actually trying to prove in the first year.
- A commercial lead, when the question is whether there is demand you can reach directly.
- A technical or service lead, when the question is whether you can support what you already sell.
- A country manager, when the operation needs someone to own the whole picture and represent it to head office.
Resolve the employment question before the offer
The single most common entry mistake is running a search and then discovering there is no structure to employ the person you selected. We resolve the employment model in parallel with the search: your own entity, an EOR arrangement where it is appropriate and available, or a contractor engagement where the substance of the work genuinely supports one.
Sequence the next hires so each one creates capacity
The second hire should relieve the first, not duplicate them. We build a sequence that shows which role unlocks which, what each one depends on, and where the plan will stall if a step is skipped.
Plan the back office before it becomes urgent
Finance, payroll and administration are usually added a year late. Knowing when they become necessary — and what triggers that — keeps your country lead doing the job you hired them for.
Know what a proposal still needs
We will tell you exactly what information is missing before your costs can be firmed up, rather than presenting an estimate built on assumptions you never saw.
Questions buyers ask
- Do we need a Venezuelan entity before we can hire?
- Not necessarily. We review the options for your specific roles, including whether an EOR arrangement is appropriate and available, and give you a written answer rather than a general rule.
- How many people should we start with?
- Usually fewer than the business case says. We would rather sequence three hires properly than staff an org chart that has not been tested.
- Can you help while we are still deciding whether to enter?
- Yes. The workforce planner and a scoping conversation give you a realistic picture of what a team would involve before you commit to anything.
- Do you provide legal or entity setup advice?
- No. We are a workforce partner, not a legal or corporate services adviser. We work with the structure you have or are putting in place, and we are explicit about where a question belongs with your own advisers.
