Choose the right model before you choose a supplier.
Most costly workforce mistakes in Venezuela are structural, not commercial. These comparisons set out each option honestly, including where our own services are not the right answer.
- Employer of Record or your own Venezuelan entity? This is the first structural decision most companies face in Venezuela, and it is usually taken too early — before anyone has established how many people, for how long, and doing what.
- Employing through an EOR or engaging contractors?Contracting looks cheaper and simpler on the first invoice. Whether it holds up depends on the substance of the working relationship, not on what the agreement is called.
- A staffing agency or a workforce partner? The difference is not quality of candidates. It is what happens after the candidate says yes — and who owns the problem when the arrangement underneath them is wrong.
- A local Venezuelan agency or an international partner?Local knowledge and international structure are both real advantages, and they usually sit in different suppliers. The question is which gap costs you more.
- Recruit in-house or outsource it?This is a capacity question, not a philosophy question. The answer changes as your hiring volume changes, and it is worth revisiting rather than deciding once.
